The disagreement between King Charles III and Prince Andrew over the Royal Lodge in Windsor could get “quite uncomfortable” for both parties, Daily Mirror Royal Editor Russell Myers says.

The Duke of York is reportedly under pressure from the monarch to downgrade from the Royal Lodge to Frogmore Cottage following Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's shock eviction in March.

“He (Prince Andrew) signed a 75-year lease way back in the early 2000s; now, if he doesn’t want to leave, he is not going to leave,” Mr Myers told Sky News host Paul Murray.

“Whether the King has the power to remove him remains to be seen, so I don’t think we’ve heard the last of it.”

Judges in the French city of Avignon have sentenced Dominique Pelicot to 20 years in prison for aggravated rape after he drugged and abused his then wife, Gisèle Pelicot, and invited dozens of strangers to rape her.

Dominique stood accused alongside 50 other men. Of the 50 co-defendants found guilty, 46 were found guilty of rape, two guilty of attempted rape, and two guilty of sexual assault.

For almost a decade, Gisèle Pelicot was unknowingly given sedatives by her ex-husband, who has admitted to raping her and inviting men he had recruited online to have sex with her in her bed at home while she was unconscious and unaware.

Although Dominique Pelicot admitted the charges against him, most of the other men on trial denied what they did was rape.

It was Gisèle's decision to waive her anonymity and throw this trial into the open - in her words, making "shame swap sides" from the victim to the rapist - something which has turned the 72-year-old into a feminist icon.

Prince Andrew has suggested that the photo of him with his arm around 17-year-old sex slave Virginia Roberts was faked and has commissioned investigators to examine it.

Andrew says his clothes in the picture, supposedly taken at Ghislaine Maxwell’s Belgravia house in March 2001, were “travelling clothes” and not what he would wear on London nights out.

But The Sun on Sunday found pictures of him in near-identical attire on a 2001 night out in the capital.

UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer said he believes Peter Mandelson should not be a member of the House of Lords over his links to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The PM has ordered an "urgent" investigation into Lord Mandelson's contact with Epstein while he was a government minister, No 10 has said.

Emails released in the US on Friday suggest Mandelson forwarded internal government information to Epstein when he was the UK's business secretary in 2009.

Mandelson resigned from Starmer's Labour Party on Sunday night, saying he wanted to save the party "further embarrassment".

Documents also suggest Epstein paid him $75,000 in three separate transactions in 2003 and 2004 - Mandelson said he has no record of the payments and believes they are "false" but said he will investigate.

Separate emails released on Friday also suggest Epstein invited Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to have dinner with a 26-year-old Russian woman. Several girls mentioned in the Epstein files are Russian.

The emails do not indicate any wrongdoing and the BBC has contacted Mountbatten-Windsor for a response. He has repeatedly denied all allegations of wrongdoing connected to Epstein.
