Keir Starmer has been grilled by senior MPs over the Iran war after Donald Trump dramatically stepped back from threats to strike Tehran's energy infrastructure.
The Prime Minister indicated he was looking at energy bill support for the winter ahead of a meeting of the Government's Cobra emergency committee this afternoon. He sought to reassure Brits worried about fuel shortages but admitted he was planning for the war to go on "for some time".
Mr Starmer also issued his strongest words yet on the conflict, saying: "This is not our war and we are not getting dragged into this war."
