Julia Stonecypher, a widow with two daughters, is struggling financially and faces eviction from the bank holding her mortgage. However, when the bank's vice president, Brian Harding, gets injured, he is forced to spend Christmas with Julia and her family. At first ungrateful, Brian is eventually won over by Julia's determination and the joyful atmosphere she and her daughters create.
