Chancellor Rachel Reeves is speaking from the World Economic Forum in Davos, where she says neither the UK nor the US can secure their economic and security interests alone, stressing reliance on allies for critical minerals, energy and supply chains.
Reeves' comments came shortly after Donald Trump criticised the UK's "stupid" Chagos Islands deal, saying it was partly why the US has to take Greenland.
