Chancellor John Healey has set out the government's tax and spending plans in his Budget – the first since Andy Burnham became prime minister.
He revealed 20 million households in council tax bands A-D in England will receive a £100 "household energy payment" and the threshold for small business rate relief for retail hospitality and leisure businesses will be raised from £12,000 to £18,000.
Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch said the Budget was "not good enough, not strong enough, not bold enough".
