ABOUT SHEIKH SHAHNAWAZ
Sheikh Shahnawaz is a British-Bangladeshi film director, screenwriter & producer from Birmingham, England. At 15 years old, Sheikh began making short films for his school projects using the school's video equipment. While studying Media Production at Coventry University, Sheikh wrote and directed short films Friend Request (2015) and Stalker (2016). Sheikh would then go on to release a short film every month on YouTube for the whole of 2018. These short films include Sleepless (2018), Blackmail (2018), Witness (2018), Duality (2018), Gamer (2018), The Woods (2018), The Initiation (2018), Reversal (2018) and Trick (2018). Bluff (2022) is the feature directorial debut by Sheikh Shahnawaz. Produced on a budget of $2000, Sheikh achieved this by shooting completely guerilla as a one-man crew and filming in his hometown over the course of a year with local actors, some of who had featured in his earlier short films.
