Burnham Says His Appointment as UK Prime Minister Will Be 'Circuit Breaker' for Britain

Britain's new Prime Minister Andy Burnham has said that his appointment will be a "circuit breaker" for Britain.
Speaking outside No 10 Downing Street, he said that the change of leadership should be "the moment when Britain starts to believe again".
He promised to set out new measures to help with the cost of living this week before setting out a new 10-year plan for Britain later this year.
"Britain needs to show the world that we can regain our stability once again," Mr Burnham said.
"We have not been good enough, and we need to be better."
Mr Burnham said that his first calls to foreign leaders will be to US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
