At 51, widowed hamburger restaurateur Harvey Howard makes the unlikely decision to go back to college, determined to live like any other student. Refusing special treatment, he moves into the dorms—much to the dismay of his adult children—and throws himself into campus life, from study groups and fraternity pranks to football games and late-night cramming. As he adjusts to this new world, Harvey finds himself drawn to the charming French professor, Madame Gautier, forcing him to confront feelings he thought he’d left behind and to question whether it’s ever too late to start over.
