US President Donald Trump praised the UK as he touched down last night for a two-day state visit. Pomp and Pageantry await Trump and the First Lady, as the King rolls out the red carpet for his guest.
Mr Trump appears elated to be reunited with the monarch, as he said yesterday night: "My relationship is very good with the UK, and Charles, as you know, who's now King, is my friend. It's the first time this has ever happened where somebody was honoured twice. So, it's a great honour."
Sir Keir Starmer hopes to capitalise on the US President's love of the monarchy to secure new investment deals between the two countries and engage in meaningful discussions on issues such as Ukraine, Gaza and tariffs.
