... on his Second State Visit
The Royal family has welcomed Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, to the Windsor estate on the first day of the US president’s second state visit to Britain.
The President will rejoin the King and Queen, as well as Sir Keir Starmer and Lady Starmer, to view a Beating Retreat ceremony on the East Lawn.
Weather permitting, the ceremony will conclude with a flypast by UK and US F-35 military jets and the Red Arrows.
The Trumps were greeted by the Prince and Princess of Wales after arriving by helicopter in the Walled Garden in the private grounds of Windsor Castle at around 12.14pm on Wednesday.
They walked over together to Victoria House where the King and Queen greeted them outside.
The president shook hands with the King, at which point a 41-round gun salute was fired simultaneously on the East Lawn of Windsor Castle and more than 20 miles away at the Tower of London.
The Trumps joined the Royal family in a carriage procession through the Windsor estate towards Windsor Castle.
