Lord Mandelson resigns from the Labour Party, saying he does not want to cause further embarrassment after new US justice department files link him again to Jeffrey Epstein.
The documents suggest Epstein made payments in the early 2000s, which Mandelson says he does not recall and believes are false. He apologises to Epstein’s victims and says he is acting in Keir Starmer's Labour Party’s best interests.
