Things Don't Go To Plan During Surgery | UK Hospital Documentary | Full Episode
John, aged 98, arrives at Hammersmith Hospital for a landmark heart operation. He is the oldest person surgeons have ever carried out the procedure on, known as TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation). The operation gets underway, but things don't go to plan, and another surgical team from a different hospital within the Trust is drafted in to save John's life.
