The life of the lawyer Yulia Bogatyreva seems like a fairy tale: she has a happy family and a successful career. But in an instant this fairy tale collapses - her husband dies in a car accident. Yulia takes this tragedy hard, she falls into depression and quits her job. Her mother-in-law wants to deprive her of parental rights, believing she can no longer take care of her daughter. This forces Yulia to pull herself together and seek help from Andrei Orlov the psychotherapist. But very quickly it turns out that he is the one who needs help: Andrei is accused of murdering a patient, and Yulia takes up his defense. In the course of the lawyer's investigation she realizes that all her "fairy-tale life" was a deception, and she has been in mortal danger for a long time.
