Seeking salvation, he turns to the famous psychiatrist Dr. Eric Peslow for help, who offers him radical methods of therapy. At first, it seems that treatment can change his life for the better, but fate takes a terrible turn. The main character is unjustly accused first of robbery, and then of murder. Trapped in suspicion and betrayal, he tries to find the truth, but with each step he finds that the circle around him is shrinking. The only person he can at least partially trust is the doctor's assistant, Bonnie. However, even she is not always able to protect him from the web of deceit, greed, and corruption that engulfs the city. The main character gradually realizes that he can trust no one but himself. This is a story about internal struggle, about how easy it is to lose control of life and how difficult it is to get out of a deadly game when every step could be the last.
