'LIAR!' - Starmer HECKLED during CHAOTIC PMQs clash on Iran and fuel duty
Sir Keir Starmer was ridiculed after he repeatedly insisted "there hasn't been a rise" in fuel duty - even though Chancellor Rachel Reeves has announced it will increase by 5p.
The Prime Minister insisted fuel duty had been frozen until September, as he was questioned in the House of Commons by Conservative MP Kemi Badenoch. But the Tory leader pointed out that taxes on petrol were due to increase after September.
However, Sir Keir also hinted a u-turn may be coming, as he told MPs: "We will keep the situation under review in light of what's happening in Iran."
The Prime Minister faces a rowdy House of Commons for Prime Minister's Questions as concern grew over the impact that the war against Iran will have on the cost of living in the UK.
