EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said no new pledges had been made to provide Ukraine with Patriot interceptors, while urging EU member states to speed up defence investment and address Kyiv’s urgent air-defence needs. Kallas said the EU has already approved procurement plans worth €28.3 billion under the Ukraine Support Loan, including Patriot missiles from future U.S. production. The remarks come as European defence ministers discuss strengthening capabilities and meeting 2030 defence targets amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.
