“Don’t call me a white supremacist.”

A discussion about Prime Minister’s Questions turns into a heated confrontation between Julia Hartley-Brewer and former Labour Party spokesman James Mathewson over English identity.

With Conservative commentator Benedict Spence also joining the debate, the panel clashes over nationality, ethnicity and Suella Braverman’s description of her own identity.

Julia challenges whether critics have the right to tell Braverman how she should identify. Mathewson argues that Englishness is a nationality and raises concerns about ethnonationalism among some Reform supporters.

“We’re going to have an issue if you call me a white supremacist, so take it back.”

As the exchanges intensify, Julia attempts to return to the parliamentary debate:

“I can’t believe I’ve lost control of this conversation.”
