BREAKING — U.S.-BASED POLITICAL ADVISORY AND LOBBYING FIRM VON BATTEN-MONTAGUE-YORK HAS MADE A SERIOUS NEW ALLEGATION AGAINST PRESIDENT BOLA TINUBU, claiming that he is actively working to rig Nigeria’s 2027 presidential election and that the firm is taking its concerns directly to the Trump administration and U.S. Congress.

The firm alleges that INEC, the judiciary and now the EFCC are being used to weaken or intimidate political opposition. It specifically linked its latest accusation to the 14-day ultimatum demanding that the EFCC reopen allegations against Atiku Abubakar, and says it plans to brief Washington about the development. These remain allegations by the lobbying firm and do not, by themselves, establish that Tinubu is attempting to rig the election or directing the EFCC action.

Meanwhile, another controversy has emerged after Atiku’s lobbyist Karl Von Batten deleted a post announcing his appointment to a White House presidential commission. Tinubu aide Sunday Dare responded that the appointment concerned the Commission on Presidential Scholars and carries no responsibility for U.S. foreign policy, national security, diplomacy or relations with Nigeria.

With Tinubu, Atiku, the EFCC, INEC, Washington lobbying and the Trump administration increasingly entering the same political battlefield, Nigeria’s road to 2027 is becoming an international as well as domestic political fight.
