Heavy rain clearing eastern Scotland this morning, taking the strongest winds with it. This rain will become more confined through the morning to Shetland by the afternoon. Showers drift in from the west throughout the morning. A chilly start to the day in the north, temperatures across the UK ranging from 4-9°C. Some heavy bursts of rain in the south coast overnight but clearing in the morning and breaking up into showers.
Most areas dry in the afternoon with temperatures of 11-16°C.
