At least 24 Canadians are among the hundreds of people missing after a massive landslide and flash floods devastated the border of Nepal and Tibet. CTV's Kimberley Fowler reports that glaciologists believe the catastrophic flooding was likely triggered by a melting glacier and avalanche; Canadian manufacturing and construction businesses are facing extreme uncertainty as sweeping U.S. border tariffs drive up the price of raw steel. CTV's Katelyn Wilson speaks with AMBICO Limited CEO Jack Shinder, who says the world price of steel has already increased significantly following the levies; and a local couple rebuilding their basement after the severe Canada Day storms faced an unexpected $1,000 building permit fee despite a municipal promise to waive costs. CTV's Katie Griffin speaks with homeowner Andrew Sampson, who says the city initially refused to waive the fee because the previous property owner never secured an original permit.
