A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the deregistration of five political parties in Nigeria, including the African Democratic Congress (ADC), following a legal challenge over their compliance with constitutional requirements. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been directed to remove the affected parties from its official register, with the court citing their failure to meet conditions required for continued recognition. The ruling also affects the Action Peoples Party (APP), Action Alliance (AA), Accord Party (AP), and the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).
