Dramatic footage captures the chaos in Ballymena following a second night of violence.

Rioters launched petrol bombs, bricks and fireworks at police in the Northern Irish town on Tuesday.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) deployed riot police and fired baton rounds and used a water cannon in an attempt to disperse the crowds.

Authorities said that at least 17 police officers were injured during the disorder, and at least five people have been arrested.

Violence erupted on Monday after a peaceful protest was held for a teenage girl who was the victim of an alleged sexual assault by two 14-year-old boys.
