Basketball fans mourn death of NBA legend Kobe Bryant

Basketball fans in Los Angeles have gathered to express their grief and pay tribute to legendary NBA star Kobe Bryant following his death in a helicopter accident.

The star and his oldest daughter, Gianna, were killed when their chopper came down in thick fog in California.

The 41-year-old and his daughter, 13, were on their way to a basketball practice when the aircraft came down at around 10am - in conditions that had forced the LAPD to ground their choppers.
