The Israel-Iran conflict continues to escalate with no clear path toward a ceasefire, as diplomatic efforts appear stalled and tensions rise across West Asia.

U.S. President Donald Trump has made a major claim stating that Iran has “just informed” Washington it is in a “state of collapse,” intensifying global attention on the conflict and raising questions about the actual stability inside Tehran.

Meanwhile, Iran has strongly rejected any external pressure, declaring that the United States is no longer in a position to “dictate” policy to independent nations. Iranian defence officials have also signalled that Washington must abandon what they call “illegal and irrational demands.”

At the centre of the crisis remains the Strait of Hormuz, a vital global energy route. Iran’s reported blockade of the waterway has disrupted global oil and gas flows, triggering sharp economic shockwaves and raising fears of further price surges.
