Nick Gage - the Lying Lothario
He left a trail of broken hearts behind him - along with empty bank accounts. We tell the full story and meet two of his victims who lost more than their hearts to this ruthless trickster who at one time had five fiancees.

Silver-tongued Gage used the internet to meet young women who he seduced. He often posed as an airline pilot, in a ruse similar to the one used by Leonardo Di Caprio’s character in the film Catch Me If You Can. He would start a relationship then plunder the women’s bank accounts of thousands of pounds before moving on to his next victim.

Police describe Gage as a Walter Mitty-type fantasist; he led a fantasy lifestyle where he actually started to believe his own lies. Gage moved all over the country conducting the same scam.

We meet two of Gage’s victims who were devastated by his cruel betrayal – both had had intimate relationships with Gage, both thought they were in love and both had their bank accounts plundered.

Conmen Case Files tells the incredible true crime stories of some of the world’s most audacious con artists. The stories are told in intricate detail, using reconstruction, archive, original footage and witness interviews from both victims and the police, with psychological analysis from our bank of experts. The stories are all shocking, extreme and filled with twists and turns. Each involve innocent victims being fooled into trusting a convincing con artist and paying a huge price...
