The Business Today show covers key corporate, financial, and stock market updates as the Jio Platforms mega IPO opened to strong demand, getting fully subscribed within two hours. While the Indian rupee strengthened to a six-week high, benchmark equity indices erased morning gains, with the Sensex tumbling and the Nifty falling amid broader market declines, even as IT stocks gained. In an interaction, Pankaj Pandey, Head of Research at ICICI Direct, attributed the market weakness primarily to technical liquidity absorption driven by large public issues and ongoing foreign institutional investor selling. The bulletin also touched upon State Bank of India's confirmed data loss incident, Bernstein cutting its Nifty year-end target, and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio's visit to India. Additionally, DP World Group CEO Yuvraj Narayan spoke about expanding port and logistics investments in India, addressing competitive bidding and the case for committed foreign direct investment.
