Court Moves to Deregister Parties as ADC, APGA Others Face Legal Battle
The Federal High Court in Abuja has joined several political parties in an ongoing suit seeking the deregistration of some registered parties in Nigeria.
The case, filed by the National Forum of Former Legislators, seeks to enforce Section 225A of the Constitution against the parties, including the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Accord Party, Zenith Labour Party, All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), and others. The claim is that some parties may not have met the required constitutional conditions.
