In a sweltering southern town where time seems to stand still, two boys spend a carefree summer searching for adventure. Their lives change when a stranger arrives — a quiet man with a mysterious past. He invites the boys to help him with an unusual project: creating a photographic chronicle of the town. What seems like an innocent pastime gradually reveals dark and painful secrets of the townspeople — lies, cruelty, and losses no one wants to remember. Driven by curiosity and fear, the boys begin to realize that their new acquaintance has his own reasons for returning to these memories. As summer draws to an end, their childhood innocence collides with the harsh truth of the adult world, and the town will never be the same again.
