What happens if Trump loses the midterms? On November 3, Americans vote. This is a step-by-step guide to the morning after.
Recorded before any results. First, what Donald Trump stands to lose if Democrats win the House: subpoenas, investigations and the risk of a third impeachment. Then the "rehearsal": the executive orders on mail voting, the Justice Department's voter-roll lawsuits (0 wins, 25 losses by Richard Hasen's count), the Alaska Senate case and Judge Trina Thompson's restraining order in California. Then election night, certification and the scenarios people fear, each with its author: J. Michael Luttig's "paper coup" on January 3rd, Reuters' nine ways federal power could disrupt the vote, troops and the Insurrection Act, a national emergency, Trump 2028 and the third term, and what the law and the courts say about each. We follow Elon Musk's record $475 million in 2026 midterm spending and look at what the result means for the US economy, Europe and Ukraine. The video ends with my forecast, which is an opinion.
This video does not claim the 2020 or 2026 election was rigged. "Fraud" is Trump's word, quoted.
