The number of UK millionaires has reportedly fallen to its lowest level since the 2008 financial crisis, according to the Adam Smith Institute.
The think tank attributes the decline to falling property values, higher taxes, changes to non-dom rules and wealthy individuals leaving the UK. It warns that proposals such as a wealth tax could accelerate the trend, while critics argue fewer wealthy residents could reduce investment and tax revenues.
