Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer started his news conference in East Sussex by apologising to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein for appointing Peter Mandelson as the UK's ambassador to the US.

On Wednesday, it was announced that Starmer will be forced to give files relating to Mandelson's appointment over to parliament's intelligence committee after a rebellion by Labour MPs.
