The 1960’s, where the notorious Kray Brothers, Ronnie and Reggie ruled over the East End with a threat of extreme violence to anyone who didn’t follow their rules. Detective Superintendent Leonard “Nipper” Read makes it his mission to finally break up their gang and put them away for good. Setting up a secret task force, hidden from everyone, including all but the Head of the Met police, as it’s known the Krays have spies everywhere.
The team work night and day, painstakingly piecing together evidence against the Firm. Flashback to the Blind Beggar Pub in March 1966 Ronnie Kray walks in and as calm as you like, in front of the whole pub, shoots George Cornell (from a rival London Firm) dead. Nipper knows this is key to getting to the Krays, once and for all but no one will dare give evidence.  The team can’t seem to catch a break, but then they hear rumours that Reggie has killed one of his own gang, Jack “the Hat” McVitie, who has disappeared.
The Krays gang members start to realise that anyone could be next & this is Nipper and teams chance to pressure them into giving evidence against the Brothers.
As a powder keg of pressure starts to mount on both sides, Nipper knows he just needs one person to break & he’ll have the whole firm but will any of them risk their own lives and break the Films strict CODE OF SILENCE.
