Princess Diana's brother makes
Princess Diana's brother, , has been criticised for comments made in his new tell-all memoir.
In Earl Charles Spencer's new book about his sister, Swan Song, he claims King Charles said "we'll forget Diana soon enough" just days after her death.
In his new book the Earl writes: "Then he unleashed down the phone what I have always taken to be his pent-up contempt for Diana, and his horror that the world was so bowled over by her death. 'Rest assured,' he hissed, 'we'll forget her soon enough!'"
In response, a Buckingham Palace spokesman told GB News: "While we do not comment on books as a matter of principle, His Majesty is mindful that the pain of fraternal grief can cloud reason, affect judgment and colour memory in ways others do not recognise, even many years after such a loss."
Speaking to Bev Turner on The Late Show Live, royal commentator Kinsey Schofield called the comments "deeply unfair."
