A story based on an original concept by Sion Sono, acclaimed internationally for works such as Cold Fish and Love Exposure.

The film is directed by action star Tak Sakaguchi, known for his lead role in RE:BORN and as the action director of HiGH&LOW: The Red Rain, along with Takahiro Ishihara, dubbed "Mr. Violence" and known for his film Control of Violence, which was officially screened at the 2015 Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival.

The opening action sequence is directed by Yuji Shimomura, famed for his work on GANTZ and Inuyashiki.

*Synopsis*
High school student Mako (played by Yuka Ogura) is bullied and fed up with the world.
Her only solace lies in reading the children's ninja book "Raifuujin" in the school library - a tale of ninjas who stand up against overwhelming evil.
One night, on her way home from school, the very ninjas from Raifuujin, Hiro (played by Hina Tsukimiya) and Yuu (played by Kanon Hanae), suddenly appear before her.

Led by fate, Mako slips through time and space, finding herself in the world of the Iga ninja clan.
Under the guidance of the legendary ninja Saizo (played by Tak Sakaguchi), Mako begins her grueling ninja training in search of strength.

However, just like Mako, the villain from Raifuujin, Kansuke Harada (played by Joey Iwanaga), also crosses over into the real world…
