As security agencies clamped down on the Revolution Now protesters at the Surulere area of Lagos on Monday, another group of protesters under the auspices of Democracy Watch Africa, enjoyed police protection in the Ikeja area of the state as they staged a pro-government walk.

Members of the group who were protesting against the Revolution Now protest, went through some streets in Ikeja, carrying placards indicating their support for the state and federal governments, and ended their walk at the Secretariat of the Lagos State Government in Alausa.

The protesters called for the expulsion of Amnesty International fron Nigeria and expressed support for the arrest and continued detention of one of the organizers of the #RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore.
