Sleep
A feature film by Oliver Tonning (2018)
Anna is 22 years and lives in a small apartment with her fifteen years older boyfriend Rasmus. When Anna gets pregnant, Rasmus is tilled, but Anna is more hesitant. A year ago, Anna’s mother committed suicide, after a long fight against an incurable mental disorder. Anna fears that she will inherit the mental disorder, but when she discovers the phenomenon “Lucid Dreaming,” she gets convinced that she can cure herself by interring her dreams. Full of hope, she begins the dangerous and challenging process, and soon reality and dreams begin to collide. Anna has to ask herself if lucid dreaming is the road to recovery or the way into the would of mental illness that she so bitterly wants to avoid.
