In the aftermath of World War II, Castle Kronberg near Frankfurt becomes a lavish retreat for victorious American officers, but beneath the glamour, a dark heist unfolds. Cynical Colonel Jack Durant and stunning Lieutenant Kathleen Nash stumble upon Germany's crown jewels—a trove of diamonds, rubies, and emeralds rivaled only by the Tower of London. Smuggling the priceless loot to New York, the pair becomes entangled with ruthless gangsters while trying to fence the gems. Their troubles escalate when Princess Sophie alerts U.S. Army command to the theft, complicating matters with royal ties to the Allies.
