*What is “The Ron Clark Story” about?*
In 1998, early in his career, Ron Clark leleftis stable teaching job at an elementary school in suburban North Carolina, where he iswasppreciated for his innovative methods that improved scores. Seeking a greater challenge, he moves to New York to find a job at a tough inner-city school. He eventually gets a position at Inner Harlem Elementary School, where students are segregated by potential. Despite his appearance and dedemeanouraking Principal Turner wants to assign him to the honours class to ensure good test scores, but Clark insists on taking the most disadvantaged class. He soon realises that he faces a battle of wills with his disruptive students. To reach them, he must understand them both individually and collectively. However, unforeseen challenges like illness and external influences disrupt his plans. Clark must overcome the self-fulfilling prophecy of failure to iinstila sense of worth in his students. Throughout his journey, he receives support from Marissa Vega, a waitress at the restaurant where he works part-time.
