Every year, on June 16th, South Africa remembers the young students who lost their lives in the fight against Apartheid.

Once you research the history of this beautiful country, you begin to realise just how crippling the injustices were against people of colour. Injustices rooted in centuries of inhumane treatment that plunged people of colour into absolute poverty.

In this video we explore how three centuries of slavery, colonialism, and Apartheid (collectively) gave way to the Soweto Uprising - an event that saw thousands of youth unite against an unequal system. And how this ultimately, played a key role in demolishing Apartheid.
