Plot Summary:
A suitcase containing $60,000 is accidentally thrown into Jane Palmer's car, giving her a chance at the fortune she has always wanted. But when gangster Danny Fuller comes looking for the money, Jane decides she will do whatever it takes to keep it.

Greed quickly turns deadly as Jane begins a ruthless struggle to protect the cash, betraying those closest to her and resorting to murder when anyone threatens to take her fortune away. Lizabeth Scott delivers a chilling performance as one of film noir's most cold-blooded characters, with Dan Duryea bringing his own brand of menace as the gangster pursuing the stolen money.
