The board, approved by the UN Security Council to secure a ceasefire, will oversee the conflict's next phase, but its published charter pointedly omits any mention of Gaza and excludes Palestinian representation entirely.
Al Jazeera's senior political analyst, Marwan Bishara, lambasted the initiative as an "Orwellian" farce and a "bad joke," arguing it is less a peace vehicle and more a "Trump board" designed to feed the president's ego and grant him unchecked control. He warned that by inviting indicted war criminals and billionaires while ignoring Palestinians, the board embodies a grotesque inversion where "war is peace," and will likely do nothing to restrain Netanyahu or genuinely rebuild Gaza.
