Beijing drew a red line, with Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning declaring full support for Nigeria’s sovereignty and opposing any foreign interference under the guise of religion or human rights. Premier Li Qiang promised deeper ties, pushing Belt and Road projects and urging Global South unity through BRICS and the UN. Nigeria is ready to expand cooperation with China in trade, infrastructure, and energy, aiming to elevate its strategic partnership.
