Defense attorney Michael Sanft delivered his closing arguments to the jury in the Tupac Shakur murder trial on Aug. 31, 2026. Sanft argued that prosecutors failed to make the case that Duane Keith "Keffe D" Davis instructed gang members to shoot Shakur – and provided the gun – on Sept. 7, 1996.
