Despite this, hourly earnings growth has remained below 3% for the ninth month in a row. Small business optimism has rebounded, according to the CNBC and SurveyMonkey Small Business Confidence Index, with 46% of business owners rating the economy as excellent or good, up from 30% last quarter. AI adoption is also on the rise, with nearly 40% of small businesses using it, many noting positive impacts. However, BizBuySell's report highlights a 4% decrease in small business transactions year-over-year, attributed to tariff uncertainties affecting buyer confidence.
