The film centres on Les Dalton, an ex-paratrooper and career criminal newly released on parole after serving nine years for a high-profile armed robbery. Les, however, maintains there was never any missing gold at all.
As he attempts to rebuild his life, Les finds freedom comes with strings attached. His estranged daughter keeps him at arm’s length, his ex-wife remains wary, and a retired detective who once hunted him down refuses to let the past stay buried. Under constant suspicion, Les must navigate a world that expects him to fail — or confess.
