Tucked in south-western Ukraine, Odesa is the country’s third largest city.

It was an economic powerhouse before the war. Now that Russia occupies the majority of Ukraine's coastline, the region has become even more vital.

But residents continue to go about their daily lives.

BBC Correspondent Paul Adams travelled to Odesa as the war at sea escalates.
