Norway’s King Haakon VIII has taken his oath before Parliament, pledging to uphold the country’s Constitution and laws following the death of his father, King Harald.
The oath-taking is part of a series of ceremonies marking the transfer of the Norwegian crown. King Harald died at the age of 89, prompting an outpouring of grief across Norway.
