Ukraine is seeking meetings of the United Nations Security Council and the Ukraine–NATO Council after Russia used an Oreshnik ballistic missile overnight. The strike killed four and wounded 25 in Kyiv, where explosions thundered for hours, lighting the sky.

Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed another hit damaged infrastructure near Lviv, about 60km from Poland. Moscow said it retaliated for an alleged drone strike on Vladimir Putin’s residence, which Kyiv denies. This was Oreshnik’s second use, after Dnipro in November 2024.
